Alberta Ablordeppey is a shining example of resilience, compassion, and visionary leadership. A US-based Ghanaian award-winning author, philanthropist, and certified Scrum Master, she has devoted her life to uplifting the marginalized—demonstrating that hope, determination, and empathy can transform communities.
Born in Ghana and inspired by her mother’s struggles after her father’s passing, Alberta made a personal commitment to support vulnerable populations. Her establishment of the Highly Favored Foundation fulfilled a decade-long aspiration to empower widows, the homeless, single mothers, and children with special needs. In both Ghana and the United States, her hands-on interventions—ranging from paying off hospital bills for new mothers to funding widows’ endeavors in remote communities—have touched countless lives and spurred transformative change.
Despite facing financial challenges, Alberta has tirelessly invested her own resources into her philanthropic endeavors. She has also supported her mother and siblings’ education and livelihood, reflecting her deeply held belief that no one should be left behind. Alberta’s inspirational journey is chronicled in her debut book, Greatness Against All Odds, which underscores her message of perseverance and triumph over adversity.
Her impactful work has earned international recognition, including accolades such as “Best Charity of the Year” and “Best Inspirational Woman of the Year.” Commendations from notable institutions and dignitaries—including a personal note of thanks from the Mayor of Cincinnati—further attest to her far-reaching influence.
Today, as Chair of the Board and CEO of the Highly Favored Foundation, Alberta envisions an even broader scope of support for women, youth, and communities across Africa. She personifies the foundation’s core values of service, empathy, and collective upliftment, continually demonstrating that a single individual—driven by purpose and perseverance—can make a lasting global impact.
